"Purple Penguin" was conceived by our Creative Director, Christopher Potter in 2002. For 6 years Chris worked as a freelance designer running the agency on a part time basis in Rotherham.

In early 2008, Chris began working on a marketing project for James Squires, the entrepreneur behind various successful businesses in Doncaster, including www.austinbanks.co.uk and www.websites4agencies.com.

It soon became clear that with Chris’ technical expertise and James’ business vision, Purple Penguin could become a major player in the UK digital marketing sector.

Since then, the company has grown from strength to strength and now boasts an impressive and growing client list.

In August 2008, we incorporated as a Limited Company and set up our new office at The Hutton Business Centre in Doncaster, South Yorkshire to make room for our continued expansion.
